Chisapani Nagarkot trek starts with a short drive to Sundarijal, a popular hangout and busy picnic spot in the north of Kathmandu. Leaving aside a few settlements on the way, the hike trail passes through forest to Chisapani. Chisapani is a mixed settlement of Brahmins, Gurungs, and Sherpas. Next day hike back all along the forest through hill station Nagarkot to Changunarayan and drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 1: Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Evening, welcome dinner.
Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will be taken for a welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 2: Trek Briefing. Visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath Stupa.
Detailed trek briefing at your hotel in presence of your trek guide. You can ask any questions you might have. Today, you will enjoy a guided Kathmandu tour of popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal: Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Today, you will get to know many interesting facts and stories about Hindu and Buddhist culture, history and the people of Nepal from your local tour guide. You can take your own time as you like at each temple to explore around and asking the questions to your tour guide (this is a private tour just for you) for spending your time in Kathmandu.

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the most popular UNESCO world heritage sites located about 11 km from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu. The stupa is massive mandala and it is one of the largest unique structure’s stupas in the world with a long history. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.
Pashupatinath Temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, approximately 5 km north-east of Kathmandu dedicated to Shiva. You will see many Sadhu monks and the cremations taking place across the holy river of this temple.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (about 1 hrs) & Hike to Chisapani (About 5 hrs)
After the breakfast, we board a private vehicle and drive northeast of Kathmandu to Sundarijal. Chasing the trials through the dense woodlands of Shivapuri National Park, we arrive to Chisapani. Five hours of trek would bring us to Chisapani, which offers the magnificence of Himalayan panorama and stunning sunrise and sunset views. Overnight at Chisapani.

Day 4: Hike from Chisapani to Nagarkot (6-7 hrs)
After breakfast, we will hike to Nagarkot through frequent mid-hill villages and terraced farmlands. Nagarkot is the most popular hill station around Kathmandu Valley, which offers stunning views of the spectacular and majestic Himalayas, deep valleys, lush pine forests in a quaint rural atmosphere. Overnight at Nagarkot.

Day 5: Hike to Changunarayan Temple (3-4 hrs) & drive to Kathmandu (about 1 hrs)
Early morning we head towards the View-Tower in Nagarkot is an experience that is filled with the glory of watching the sunrise amidst the cerulean mountain ranges. After spending some time at the tower taking pictures, returning back to the hotel for breakfast. The hiking trail leads down to Changunarayan, from where transfer back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 6: Free day in Kathmandu
Today, you will have free time to explore the city on your own. Here are some best options to consider:

Explore around Thamel – a colorful tourist hub of Nepal. You will spot numbers of hotels, money exchange, hotels, shops to buy all kinds of souvenirs, trekking gears, etc and many restaurants to chose from offering both Western and local Nepali cuisines.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a great place to start your exploration, where you will walk(about 10-15 min) through narrow alleyways teeming with small shops, temples, and local restaurants.

If you want to stretch your legs, Swoyambhunath, the white stupa rising above the valley, is the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the valley. You can also take a cab which is approximately about 15 minutes drive from Thamel if you are too tired to walk.
Visit the Garden of dreams, which is a classical historical garden located at Thamel(about 5-10 min walk) with an exquisite ensemble of pavilions, fountains, decorative garden furniture, and beautiful flowers and trees.

Day 7: Transfer to the airport. Departure
Today is your departure day. Himalayan Namobuddha’s representative will drop you to Airport 3 hours before scheduled flight. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. Hopefully we shall meet again.
