Annapurna Circuit Trek is a trek within the mountain range of central Nepal. The trek is also known as round Annapurna trek or Thorang La Pass Trek. Annapurna circuit trek is an adventurous trek which is done about 160-230km hikes around the majestic Annapurna Massif depending on where the transportation is started and where the trek is ended. The trek starts from low altitude to highest altitude of 5416 m at Thorung La Pass. The trek passes through paddy fields, sub tropical forests, huge cliffs, several beautiful villages and the different ethnic people with their culture especially Tibetan culture. Annapurna Circuit Trek provides a panoramic view of the Himalayas and views of mountains scenery of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna South, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre etc.
Day 1: Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Evening, welcome dinner.
Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will be taken for a welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 2: Trek Briefing. Visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath Stupa.
Detailed trek briefing at your hotel in presence of your trek guide. You can ask any questions you might have. Today, you will enjoy a guided Kathmandu tour of popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal: Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Today, you will get to know many interesting facts and stories about Hindu and Buddhist culture, history and the people of Nepal from your local tour guide. You can take your own time as you like at each temple to explore around and asking the questions to your tour guide (this is a private tour just for you) for spending your time in Kathmandu.
Boudhanath Stupa is one of the most popular UNESCO world heritage sites located about 11 km from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu. The stupa is massive mandala and it is one of the largest unique structure’s stupas in the world with a long history. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.
Pashupatinath Temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, approximately 5 km north-east of Kathmandu dedicated to Shiva. You will see many Sadhu monks and the cremations taking place across the holy river of this temple.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (6-7 hrs)
The first day of our journey begins with 6-7 hrs drive enjoying the natural beauty of forest, rivers and farms. Our journey passes through Trishuli, Mugling , Pokhara, Dumre and then north to Besisahar from drive. Overnight in Besisahar.
Day 4: Drive from Besisahar to Chame (2670 m/ 5-6 hrs)
Today we drive from Besisahar to Chame enjoying beautiful scenary on the way. Overnight in Chhame.
Day 5: Chhame to Pisang (3190 m/ 4-5 hrs)
We will have a steep and narrow path while ahead towards the trail. We’ll have to cross the river through suspension bridges again and again before reaching Pisang. After reaching Pisang we’ll visit Pisang’s monastery and overnight in Pisang.
Day 6: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3540 m/ 5-6 hrs)
The trail passes through the valley floor from Hungde village. Enjoying the superb views of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna our trail reaches to Khausar village through pine forest. Khausar village is a Gurung village where we can see monastery, chortens, Mani wall and prayer flags on the way. Overnight in Manang.
Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Manang
The day is the acclimatization day for us. We can explore the Manang village with its traditional unique culture and lifestyle of people. We can have a beautiful view of natural greenery, mountains and Monastries. At this day, we could hike to Gangapurna or Melaripa cave if we are interested to visit. Overnight in Manang.
Day 8: Trek from Manang to Ledar (about 5 hrs)
The trail ascends towards Thorung La Pass and we’ll make a steep climb to Tenki Manang. We have to pass along the Jarsang River to reach Yak Kharka. We may stop our day trek at Yak Kharka but we’ll continue our trek up to Ledar. Overnight in Ledar.
Day 9: Trek from Ledar to Thorang Phedi (4450 m/ 4-5 hrs)
Our trail continues to walk through the bank of Jarsang river until we didn’t reach Thorang. We can hike up at the high camp while passing through Jarsang River of stay down. Enjoying the different beautiful and adventurous scenario we’ll reach to Thorang Phedi. Overnight in Thorang Phedi.
Day 10: Trek from Thorang Phedi to Thorong La(5416 m) to Muktinath (3800 m/ total 7-8 hrs). Drive from Muktinath to Jomsom (About 1-1.5 hrs)
Today, we will start our trail early in the morning. We’ll pass through the high pass Thorong La (5416m). It would be unforgettable high icy altitude trail from where we can observe magnificent view of Gangapurna, Annapurna, Thorang peak etc. Then our trail ascends and descends towards Holy temple for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, Muktinath. We will take a short drive from Muktinath to Jomsom. Overnight in Jomsom.
Day 11: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (about 20 min). Transfer to the hotel.
Early morning take a flight to Pokhara but flight depends upon weather so we can take a . The rest day we can explore Lakecity or go for boating at Phewa Lake or just rest in a hotel. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 12: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Transfer to Patan.
Transfer to Pokhara airport one hour before your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be received by our representative and transfer to your hotel in Patan- city of fine arts & architecture.
Patan is the best place in the Kathmandu Valley to enjoy the walk and observe artisans at work. The town is full of traditional Newari craftspeople, so you can find craftsmen doing Buddhist thangka paintings, metal statues making, all kinds of jewelry, and brass and copper crafts.
Some of the best places to visit around Patan are Patan Durbar Square, Patan Museum , Golden Temple, Kumari -the living goddess of Patan, Mahaboudha temple, which are all walking distance from your hotel .

Day 13: Transfer to the hotel. Departure
The last day in Nepal, at 3 hours before scheduled flight we will be taken up to airport by office representative of Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. And the trek would be the great lifetime memory.
