Day 1 – Arrival. Transfer to hotel. Trip Briefing. Welcome Dinner

Arrive in Kathmandu. You will be welcomed by Himalayan Namobuddha Travel & Treks representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After settling into your traditional-style hotel in Patan, we will have  trip briefing before enjoying a special welcome dinner at one of the authentic Nepali restaurant. Your Nepal story begins with good food  and warm hospitality.

Day 2 – Discover Patan, Living Newari Heritage

Step into the artistic heart of the Kathmandu Valley. Explore Mahaboudha Temple, the Golden Temple, and Patan Durbar Square, discovering intricate architecture, ancient courtyards, Buddhist traditions, and the remarkable craftsmanship of local artisans. Your guide will introduce you not only to the monuments, but also to the stories and traditions behind them.

Day 3 – Transfer to local  homestay. Explore Bungamati and Khokana village

Today, your experience becomes more personal. Transfer to a local homestay and meet your host family before exploring the traditional Newari villages of Bungamati and Khokana. Wander through narrow lanes, historic temples, traditional houses, and community spaces while seeing how local people have preserved their unique culture and way of life.

In the evening, enjoy local food at dinner with your host family sharing stories of culture, lifestyle and food.

Day 4 – Local Cooking Session 

Forget the restaurant for a day—cook like a local! Join your host family in preparing a traditional Nepali meal, learning local ingredients, cooking techniques, and family recipes. Over the meal, exchange stories and learn about everyday Nepali life, family traditions, festivals, and customs.

You will also learn a few Nepali words and everyday expressions, giving you a fun way to communicate with local people during the rest of your journey.

Day 5 – Craft Your Own Wooden Souvenir

Today, meet a local craftsman in Bungamati, a community with a long tradition of woodcarving and craftsmanship. Discover how local artisans transform ordinary wood into beautiful handmade objects, then try it yourself!

With guidance from the craftsman, create your own wooden souvenir to take home—something far more meaningful than a souvenir bought from a shop because you made it with your own hands.

Day 6 – Farewell to Your Host Family | Back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, say a heartfelt farewell to your host family. What began as a homestay may now feel like saying goodbye to friends. Transfer back to Kathmandu and enjoy some free time to relax or explore the city at your own pace.

Day 7 – Visit UNESCO Heritage Sites 

Visit the magnificent Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupas, two of Kathmandu’s most important Buddhist landmarks. Take time to walk around the stupas, observe local rituals, spin prayer wheels, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Later, enjoy free time for last-minute shopping, whether you are looking for handmade crafts, local tea, spices, textiles, or gifts to take home.

Day 8 – Farewell Nepal

As the final morning arrives, your bags are packed , your camera full of beautiful memories and your heart a little heavier than when you arrive.  It’s hard to say goodbye to a place that’s given you so much beautiful memories.

But don’t worry as we will be there with you till the very end. You will be transferred to the airport 3 hours before your flight time, ensuring you have smooth, stress-free departure.
