Manaslu (8163m) known as Kutang is the eight highest mountain in the world which is located at the western central part of Nepal in Mansiri Himal. In Sanskrit Manasa means “intellect” or “soul” thus the meaning of Manaslu is “Mountain of Spirit”. Manaslu Trek is a beautiful trek with spectacular views of Manaslu including different peaks and close look towards authentic Hindu and Tibetan style villages. The passes through Budhi Gandaki and Larky La(5160m) which is the highest point of the trek makes the journey more adventurous and exciting.

Day 1: Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Evening, welcome dinner.

Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer to your hotel at Thamel, Kathmandu by private car. In the evening, you will be taken for welcome dinner in one of the authentic Nepali restaurant.

Day 2: Trek Briefing. Visit Pashupatinath and Boudhanath Stupa.

Detailed trek briefing at your hotel in presence of your trek guide. You can ask any questions you might have. Today, you will enjoy a guided Kathmandu tour of popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal: Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Today, you will get to know many interesting facts and stories about Hindu and Buddhist culture, history and the people of Nepal from your local tour guide. You can take your own time as you like at each temple to explore around and asking the questions to your tour guide (this is a private tour just for you) for spending your time in Kathmandu.

Boudhanath Stupa is one of the most popular UNESCO world heritage sites located about 11 km from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu. The stupa is massive mandala and it is one of the largest unique structure’s stupas in the world with a long history. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.
Pashupatinath Temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, approximately 5 km north-east of Kathmandu dedicated to Shiva. You will see many Sadhu monks and the cremations taking place across the holy river of this temple.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Machhakhola (9-10 hrs)

Today early in the morning we’ll take our drive through countryside of Nepal enjoying mountain sceneries towards Arughat via Dhading Besi. Around 7-8 hours drive would take us to Arughat. Overnight at Arughat.
 
 

Day 4: Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat

Today we’ll makes our narrow trail towards Tharo Khola from Maccha Khola. We’ll cross Tharo Khola and reaches Khorlabesi. Our ups and downs trail take us to Tatopani and then to Budhi Gandaki. We’ll cross suspension bridge at Budhi Gandaki and Yaru Khola before we climb stone stairs at Tharo Bharyang. We’ll trek along the river and ascends path takes us to Jagat. Overnight in Jagat.
 
 

Day 5: Trek from Jagat to Deng

From Jagat, we’ll climb over a rocky ridge and descends to Setibas. We’ll passes through Ghatta Khola and then to Philim. Our further walk takes us toward Ekle Bhatti and reaches Deng Khola after passing through bamboo forest. After crossing Khola we’ll reach Deng village. Overnight in Deng.
 
 

Day 6: Trek from Deng to Namrung

After leaving Deng we’ll recross the Budhi Gandaki River and follow an uphill trail to Rana. Our ups and down path passing through mani walls towards Prok village from where beautiful view of Siringi himal can be observed. We’ll cross the Budhi Gandaki several times and several gumpas on the way. We’ll also cross the dense forest and narrow George before we climb to Namrung. Overnight at Namrung.
 
 

Day 7: Trek from Namrung to Lho

We’ll pass through health post and police station at Namrung. We’ll cross Lihi village and Sho village. While leaving Sho village and climbing steep towards a village, we’ll have a superb view of Mt. Manaslu from the height. Finally, our trail takes us to Lho village where famous Ribung Gompa is located. Overnight in Lho.

Day 8: Trek from Lho to Samagoan

Today we’ll walk through shady fir forest and climbs to plateau at Shayala village. The village is surrounded by huge mountains thus; we’ll be able to observe magnificent view of Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Enjoying the views of mountains we’ll continue our trek to reach Samagoan where we’ll be able to see well known monastery of Sama. Overnight in Samagoan
 
 

Day 9: Acclimatization day at Samagaon

Today would be the accilimatization day as per our trek schedule. We’ll explore the surrounding villages and old gompa on a nearby little hill. We’ll take a side trip to Pungyen Gompa from where great view of Glacier can be observed. Overnight at Samagoan.

Day 10: Trek from Samagoan to Samdo

After having breakfast our trail lead toward Manaslu Base Camp. We’ll take descend trail to Budhi Gandaki River and follow a bridge over a side stream. We’ll pass through Larkya La Trail pass and then to Kermo Kharka. Again, we’ll cross wooden bridge in Budhi Gandaki river and passes through large white Kani to Samdo. Overnight in Samdo.
 
 

Day 11: Acclimatization at Samdo

Explore or hike around the surrounding village and view point

Day 12: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala/Larkya B. C.

We’ll trek along the edge of Budhi Gandaki and after crossing wooden bridge, our trail begins to ascend towards Larkya Glacier. We’ll continue our trail and go around the valley of the Salka Khoa and begins to ascend toward Dharamsala, also known as Larkya Phedi. Overnight in Larkya Phedi.
 
 

Day 13: Dharamsala to Larkya La to Bhimthang

We’ll take a short climb from Dharamsala towards northside at Larkya Glaciers. We’ll have view of Cho Danda and Larkya peak on the trail. We across the moraine of the Glacier and takes gradual ascend to the last section of pass. We’ll have magnificent view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal , Kangguru and Annapurna II from the top of pass. We’ll trek to Bhimthang after having views on pass. Overnight in Bhimthang.
 
 

Day 14: Trek from Bhimthang to Tilije

We’ll have beautiful view of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal and other Himals from the ridge of Bhimthang. We’ll take our descend way and cross Dudh Khola. After crossing Dudh Khola we’ll head towards Karche.
Then we’ll go across and make a steep climb over the ridge toward Gho and Tilije. Overnight in Tilije.
 
 

Day 15: Trek from Tilije to Tal

We’ll walk through stone paved village towards Dudh Khola. We’ll cross wooden bridge and passes through mani walls at Thonje village. Ourtrail continues to walk through Dharapani, Kharte village and cross a bridge over Marshyandgi Khola. Finally we’ll reach Tal village after crossing Mani walls on the way. Overnight in Tal.
 
 

Day 16: Trek from Tal to Syange

Today we’ll trek to Syange village. We’ll recross Marshyandgi river and head toward Chyamje. Our trail begins to descends through rhododendron forest and pine forest to Syange. Overnight in Syange.
 
 

Day 17: Syange to Besisahar and drive to Kathmandu

Today would be the last day of our trek. We’ll trek from Syange to Besisahar from where we’ll take our drive to Kathmandu. It’ll take about 4 hours drive to reach Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, we can relax, have some gifts for relatives and friends from Nepal. If we want to travel or visit somewhere Himalayan Namobudhha Travel And Trek will manage for that too. Day 18: Free day in Kathmandu

Today you will have free time to explore the city on your own. Here are some best options to consider:

Explore around Thamel – a colorful tourist hub of Nepal. You will spot numbers of hotels, money exchange, hotels, shops to buy all kinds of souvenirs, trekking gears, etc and many restaurants to chose from offering both Western and local Nepali cuisines.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a great place to start your exploration, where you will walk(about 10-15 min) through narrow alleyways teeming with small shops, temples, and local restaurants.
If you want to stretch your legs, Swoyambhunath, the white stupa rising above the valley, is the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the valley. You can also take a cab which is approximately about 15 minutes drive from Thamel if you are too tired to walk.
Visit the Garden of dreams, which is a classical historical garden located at Thamel(about 5-10 min walk) with an exquisite ensemble of pavilions, fountains, decorative garden furniture, and beautiful flowers and trees.

Day 19: Transfer to the airport. Departure

The last day in Nepal, at 3 hours before scheduled flight we’ll be taken up to airport by office representative of Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. And the trek would be the great lifetime memory.
