Langtang Trekking


Langtang is located at north of Kathmandu bordering Tibet from where the spectacular valley of Langtang with the mountain lakes at Gosainkund and Helambu valley can be viewed. Langtang is an interesting village with stone walls enclosing houses and awesome trekking route. Langtang region trekking offers amazing Himalayan views, Tamang ethnic culture, beautiful landscape, monasteries, Gosaikunda lake and different flora & fauna. Langtang Lirung (7246 m) is the highest peak in the area and a superb trek that every trekker will enjoy.



Suggested Itinerary:

Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu :

Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you. The representative will help you to check in your hotel rooms. In the hotel, you will be briefed about your activities during the trip. In the evening you will be welcomed with a dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant with cultural programs. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 02. Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley :

After breakfast in the hotel, we do sightseeing around Kathmandu City. We start our day trip from Thamel; this is the famous tourist street of Kathmandu city. You can shop your needy equipment, then to the famous historical place Kathmandu Durbar Square along with tour of local market and local lifestyle of Nepal. And then we will be visiting Patan Durbar Square and living goddess of Nepal – KUMARI of Patan. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03. Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (about 8 hrs):

After breakfast, we’ll drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. We’ll pass through Trishuli Bazar and Dunche before reaching to Syabrubesi. Overnight in Syabrubesi.


Day 04. Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (6-7 hrs) :

Passing through dense forest and crossing of several suspension bridges, we’ll reach to Lama Hotel. We were following Langtang River while aheading for Lama Hotel and the trail leads up and down path. Overnight in Lama hotel.


Day 05. Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (5-6 hrs):

The trail continues to climb steadily along the dense forest to Ghore Tabela. After reaching Ghore Tabela the trail leaves the forest and a magnificent view of Langtang Lirung appears. Leaving behind the forest our trail continues  with ascending Langtang village. Overnight in Langtang village.


Day 06. Trek from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa (3-4 hrs):

We’ll ascend gradally largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them behind and crosses small villages with wooden bridge. We’ll have a great view of Yansa Tsenji and Kimshun to the north and Langtang Himal to the north west before arriving at Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.


Day 07. Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Tserko Ri and Trek back to Lama Hotel (5-6 hrs):

We’ll wake up early in the morning and visit to Tserko Ri for superb mountain sunrise views. Then we’ll descend our way all the through forest following river and ethnic culture. We walk down hill till we won’t reach to Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.


Day 08.Trek from  Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi(5-6 hrs) :

We’ll keep retracing our way up to Syabrubesi from Lama Hotel enjoying beautiful lush green vegetation. It seems different view while we were retracing our trek up to Syabrubesi. Overnight in Syabrubesi.


Day 09. Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (about 8 hrs):

Early Morning, we drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu with beautiful memories.  Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

 Day 10:  Free day in Kathmandu
This day you will have free day on your own. In the evening, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Trek will take you for a farewell lunch or dinner in one of the finest restaurant in Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 11. Final Departure. :

The last day in Nepal, at 3 hours before scheduled flight we’ll be taken up to airport by office representative of Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal.
