Helambu Circuit Trek

Helambu Circuit Trek is the shortest trek that take place in the Sherpa Helambu region around 72 km Northeast of nearby Kathmandu. Helambu is highland village and the home of Hyolmo. The word Helambu derives from Hyolmo thus, Helambu Circuit Trek offers you a unique Hyolmo(Buddhism) culture of high mountain people. The trek also offers wonderful sceneries of Himalayan including forest of rhododendrons, bamboo, waterfalls and white snow capped mountains. We would have stunning view of Mt. Langtang (7245m), Dorje Lakpa (6900m), Ganesh Himal (7405m), Gaurishankar and another small mountains of Langtang range.

Trip Rout: Kathmandu – Sundarijal – Chisapani – Kutumsang – Tharepati – Tarkeghyang – Sermanthang – Melamchi Pul Bazaar – Kathmandu

Day 1

Day 01. Arrival in Kathmandu :

Transfer to hotel facilitated with 24 hrs running hot water with attached bathroom. Our Airport representative will be at the airport to receive you on your arrival with Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks Banner. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

 

 

Day 02. Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley :

The day we would explore the Kathmandu valley probably to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambhunath and the places you would like to visit would be managed by Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek Pvt. Ltd. Overnight in Kathmandu.

 

 

Day 03. Drive to Sundarijal And Trek to Chisapani :

After 1 hrs drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, we ascend to Shivapuri National Park. The trail leads to a climb through wet, subtropical and oak forest of different villages to reach Chisapani. Overnight in Chisapani.

 

 

Day04. Chisapani to Kutumasang :

Our trail passes through uphill, downhill as well as flat path. We’ll reach to Gul Bhanjyang where Sherpa, Tamang and Gurung having their cultural lifestyle can be found. Then our trail descends to Kutumasang.  Overnight in Kutumasang.

 

 

Day 05. Kutumasang to Tharepati :

The trail ascends through a steep, eroded trail with fir and rhododendron forest. Then, we descends to Magen Goth and reaches to Tharepati from where we can see the wonderful sunset in Jugal Himal and Number Himal with good views of Helambu valley. Overnight in Tharepati.

 

 

Day 06. Tharepati to Tarkeghyang :

We descend down to Melamchi River and cross the suspension bridge. Then, we’ll reach to Sherpa village named Melamchigaon and ascends towards Tarkeghyang which is the largest village in the Helambu possessing the oldest and biggest monasteries. Overnight in Terkeghyang.

 

 

Day 07.Tarkegyang to Sermathang :

The trail continues through flat land and beautiful forest. The trek to Tarkegyang to Sermanthang is comparatively easier than the previous days. From Ganggul village we make our way to Sermathang. We’ll explore the villages and ancient Buddhist Monastry at Sermathang. Overnight in Sermathang.

 

 

Day 08. Sermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar :

Crossing several villages and knowing cultural glimpse we’ll make gradual descend way to Melamchi Pul Bazaar. We stop our trek at Melamchi Pul Bazaar and stay overnight.

 

 

Day 09. Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu :

As we’ll be informed by our guide, we’ll catch our bus and then return back to Kathmandu with beautiful memories. We can relax, have some gifts for relatives and friends from Nepal on remaining time. If we want to travel or visit somewhere Himalayan Namobudhha Travel And Trek will manage for that too. Overnight in Kathmandu.

 

 

Day 10. Final Departure :

The last day in Nepal, at 3 hours before scheduled flight we’ll be taken up to airport by office representative of Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. And the trek would be the great lifetime memory.
