Chepang Village is a unique trekking trail because of most ethnic Chepang culture of Nepal located at 80km from Kathmandu. The homestay trekking offers nomadic lifestyle of Chepang people. The people of chepang village still lives in the forest and depend on forest for their food. Hunting, foraging for wild roots, fishing and traditional farming are their daily activities. The trek also offers spectacular views of mountains such as Rolwaling, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri etc including magnificent view of sunrise and sunset. Thus, the trek is combination of both cultural and sightseeing experience.

Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will be taken for a welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant.
Overnight at Kathmandu.
Today, we will have detailed trek briefing in presence of your trek guide. After that, you can have free time to explore the city on your own. Here are some best options to consider:
Explore around Thamel – a colorful tourist hub of Nepal. You will spot numbers of hotels, money exchange, hotels, shops to buy all kinds of souvenirs, trekking gears, etc and many restaurants to chose from offering both Western and local Nepali cuisines.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a great place to start your exploration, where you will walk(about 10-15 min) through narrow alleyways teeming with small shops, temples, and local restaurants.
If you want to stretch your legs, Swoyambhunath, the white stupa rising above the valley, is the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the valley. You can also take a cab which is approximately about 15 minutes drive from Thamel if you are too tired to walk.
Visit the Garden of dreams, which is a classical historical garden located at Thamel(about 5-10 min walk) with an exquisite ensemble of pavilions, fountains, decorative garden furniture, and beautiful flowers and trees.
The first day of our journey we’ll take a drive on Prithvi Highway for about 4 hours from Kathmandu to Hungdu Khola enjoying the natural beauty. The same day we’ll trek 4 hours uphill to Shangri la village Hattibang. Overnight at lodge in Shangri la village.
We’ll start our trek and head toward Jautsh. Enjoying the natural beauty and fresh air of villages we’ll passes through Changa, Dinglang and then to the pure Chepang village. Overnight in Jyandala.
After having breakfast, we’ll start our trek early in the morning from Jyandala to Siraichuli. Siraichuli is famous for mountain view, sunrise and sunset view. We’ll continue our trek to Gadi via Chisapanitar. Overnight in Gadi.
We’ll passes through Upardang Gadhi from Gadi. Our descend trail continues to walk until we’ll reach Shaktikhor. We’ll have cultural experience at Shaktikhor and observe Chepang museum. Overnight in Shaktikhor.
Today would be our last day of trek. We’ll trek from Shaktikhor to Sauraha from where we’ll take our vehicle to get back Kathmandu. We’ll buy some gifts for friends and relatives in Kathmandu and Overnight in hotel of Kathmandu with beautiful remembrance.
The last day in Nepal, at 3 hours before scheduled flight we’ll be taken up to airport by office representative of Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. And the trek would be the great lifetime memory.
