Bhairav Kunda Trek
“Bhairav” the word itself denote the name of Lord Shiva in Hindu Religion and Kunda denote holy mountain lake. In Sanskrit Bhairav Kunda means a holy lake named after destructive name of lord Shiva ‘Bhairav’. The Bhairav Kunda is one of the pilgrimage sites and the destination of having best trekking route in Nepal. Bhairav Kunda is located to the north east of Kathmandu at next to the Panch Pokhari (five lakes) in Dolakha district. The trek offers lots of settlements of ethic tribes such as Newars, Gurungs, Tamang and Sherpas.

Arrival in Kathmandu and trip preparation :
Transfer to hotel facilitated with 24 hrs running hot water with attached bathroom. Our Airport representative will be at the airport to receive you on your arrival with Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks Banner. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley :
The day we would explore the Kathmandu valley probably to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambhunath and the places you would like to visit would be managed by Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek Pvt. Ltd. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu to Jalbire :
We’ll take a drive from Kathmandu to Jalbire with scenic mountain views. We’ll take a drive on dirt road to Jalbire from Balephi valley. We’ll able to explore Newari culture and temple of Lord Bishnu at Jalbire. Overnight in Jalbire.
Jalbire to Chanaute :
Today we’ll start our trek from Jalbire to Chanaute for about 4 hours. We’ll have easy walk and passes through small Tamang village including waterfalls toward Chanaute. Overnight in Chanaute,
Chanaute to Khani Gaon :
We’ll start our trek early in the morning with steep uphill on small walking trails. We’ll passes through different villages, streams and local schools before we reach Khani Gaon which is typical Newar village also known as Dalle Pokhari. Overnight in Khani Gaon.
Rest Day in Khani Gaon :
Today we would rest in a Khani Gaon village. We can relax or explore the village and surrounding area with their culture & traditional lifestyle. Overnight in Khani Gaon.
Khani Gaon to Forest Camp :
We’ll hava a steep walk up through the rhododendron forest. We’ll passes through nomad houses and wild birds on the way. The day, we’ll trek for about 6 hours to reach Forest Camp. Overnight in Forest Camp.
Forest Camp to Pati :
We’ll take a steep uphill climb enjoying the views through pine and rhododendron forest. We’ll continue our trek with beautiful mountain views and rest house made for pilgrims toward Pati. Overnight in Pati.
Pati to Bhairav Kund :
Today early in the morning we’ll ascend about 1 hour to hills and after our route level outs we’ll trek for about 2.5 hours toward holy lake Bhairav Kund (4250m). Every year in June/July pilgrim used to visit Bhairav Kund and bath in holy lake. Thus, the Kunda has its own religious perspective in Hindu religion. We’ll explore the lake and surrounding area on this day. Overnight in Bhairav Kund.
Bhairav Kund top to Sherpa Gaon :
In early in the morning we’ll trek about one and half hours uphill walk to height for the sunrise view. We’ll started our trekking with magnificent views of Langtang, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range and the Tibetan Range. After about 6 hours steeply down trek with stunning forest on the way we’ll reach Sherpa Gaon. Overnight in Sherpa Gaon.
Sherpa Gaon to Larche :
Today would be the last day of our trek which starts from Sherpa Gaon and ends at Larche. We’ll take our descend path for about 3.5 hours to the bank of the Bhote Koshi ricer and then to Larche. Overnight in Larche.
Drive to Kathmandu via Larche :
We’ll take our drive from Larch to Kathmandu as per our trek schedule. After reaching Kathmandu, we can relax, have some gifts for relatives and friends from Nepal. If we want to travel or visit somewhere Himalayan Namobudhha Travel And Trek will manage for that too. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Departure from Kathmandu :
The last day in Nepal, at 3 hours before scheduled flight we’ll be taken up to airport by office representative of Himalayan Namobuddha Travel And Trek. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. And the trek would be the great lifetime memory.
