Locally known as Urkema Peak, renamed as Lord Baden Powell Peak in 2007 is situated in the Langtang region. Lord Baden Powell Peak, a mushroom shaped mountain offers a perfect alternative to Imja Tse or Island Peak in the Khumbu region.The peak is surrounded by majestic peaks such as Langtang II, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and Shishapangma in Tibet.

Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will be taken for a welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Detailed trek briefing at your hotel in presence of your trek guide. You can ask any questions you might have. Today, you will enjoy a guided Kathmandu tour of popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Nepal: Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Today, you will get to know many interesting facts and stories about Hindu and Buddhist culture, history and the people of Nepal from your local tour guide. You can take your own time as you like at each temple to explore around and asking the questions to your tour guide (this is a private tour just for you) for spending your time in Kathmandu.
Boudhanath Stupa is one of the most popular UNESCO world heritage sites located about 11 km from the center and northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu. The stupa is massive mandala and it is one of the largest unique structure’s stupas in the world with a long history. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.
Pashupatinath Temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, approximately 5 km north-east of Kathmandu dedicated to Shiva. You will see many Sadhu monks and the cremations taking place across the holy river of this temple.
After breakfast, enjoying Himalayan views we will take a drive to Syabrubesi. We will pass through Trishuli Bazar and Dunche before reaching to Syabrubesi. We can explore surrounding area at the evening. Overnight in Syabrubesi.
Passing through dense forest and crossing of several suspension bridges, we will reach to Lama Hotel. We follow the Langtang River while heading for Lama Hotel and the trail leads up and down path. Overnight in Syabrubesi.
The trail continues to climb steadily along the dense forest to Ghore Tabela. After reaching Ghore Tabela the trail leaves the forest and a magnificent view of Langtang Lirung appears. Leaving behind the forest our trail began with ascending Langtang village. Overnight in Langtang village.
We will ascend gradually largest mani wall in Nepal, made from stone with prayers written on them behind and crosses small villages with wooden bridge. We will have a great view of Yansa Tsenji and Kimshun to the north and Langtang Himal to the north west before arriving at Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
Today we ascend a small peak which lies near Kyangjin. This is a small peak and it is quite easy to climb. It will take only about 3 hours to ascend. After ascending we spend quality time, enjoy the views and take some pictures and descend back to Kyanjin. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
Tserko ri is situated like an island just north of Kyangjin which is a good peak to acclimatize for the climb. We follow the upper trail out of the village across the river and climb up the ridge to our left. We can see Yala glacier and Yala peak, Kyagjin peak and Kyimoshung, with Langtang Lirung towering above them. Overnight at Tserko Ri.
The route from the base camp is an uphill climb. We follow the rhododendron bushes and cross a river. We head in a westerly direction up to the mountain and moved towards the south. You have a magnificent view of Langtang Lirung, Langshisa Ri and Shisapangma in Tibet. To the south, the impressive south face of Naya Kanga (5844m) towers above. Since the camp area is totally flat, we can put up our tents easily. Overnight at base camp.
Today we rise up early in the morning and start our ascent to BP Peak summit (5718m ) . From base camp, we cross the rocky field and climb up until we get to a rocky slab on the right. We zigzag your way up, keeping to the right, aiming towards the rock face to the west. The ridge at the top is very narrow and has very little space. From the top we have fantastic views of Shishapangma, Naya Kanga , Ganesh Himal and even Kathmandu valley on a clear day. We return back to base camp. Overnight at base camp.
Today we will descend back to Kyangjin. Enjoying the view of Langtang Lirung, Langshisa Ri and Shisapangma we gradually descend back to Kyajin. Overnight at Kyangkin.
Today we will descend our way all the through forest following river and ethnic culture. We walk down hill till we won’t reach to Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.
We will keep retracing our way up to Syabrubesi from Lama Hotel enjoying beautiful lush green vegetation. It seems different view while we were retracing our trek up to Syabrubesi. Overnight in Syabrubesi.
We will take a drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu as we are informed by our guide. We can relax, have some gifts for relatives and friends from Nepal. If we want to travel or visit somewhere Himalayan Namobudhha Travel And Trek will manage for that too. Overnight in Kathmandu
Today, you can relax at the hotel or go out and explore the city on your own or with an English speaking guide (optional add on). Here are some best options to consider:
Explore around Thamel – a colorful tourist hub of Nepal. You will spot numbers of hotels, money exchange, hotels, shops for trekking gears, etc and many restaurants to chose from offering both Western and local Nepali cuisines.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a great place to start your exploration. You can follow narrow alleyways teeming with small shops, ancient temples, and local restaurants.
If you want to stretch your legs, Swayambhunath, the white stupa rising above the valley, is the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the valley. You can also take a cab which is approximately about 15 minutes drive from Thamel if you are too tired to walk.
Visit the Garden of dreams, which is a classical historical garden located at Thamel(about 5-10 min walk). It is an exquisite ensemble of pavilions, fountains, decorative garden furniture, and beautiful flowers and trees.
Today is your departure day. Himalayan Namobuddha’s representative will drop you to Airport 3 hours before scheduled flight. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. Hopefully we shall meet again.
