The first among the ten best treks in the world, Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the ideal trekking in Nepalese Himalayas considered as an international treasure. It offers a fascinating life of middle hill Nepalese ethnic groups from Hindu farmers to Tibetan Lamas. The highlight of the trip are the incredible views of Himalayas, most famous high peaks like Dhaulagiri, Macchapuchre, Annapurana etc, rivers with deep gorges and hot springs. Day 1: Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Evening, welcome dinner

Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namobuddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, you will be taken for a welcome dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant.

Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 2: Trek Briefing. Free Day in Kathmandu.

Today, we will have detailed trek briefing in presence of your trek guide. After that, you will have free time to explore the city on your own. Here are some best options to consider:

Explore around Thamel – a colorful tourist hub of Nepal. You will spot numbers of hotels, money exchange, hotels, shops to buy all kinds of souvenirs, trekking gears, etc and many restaurants to chose from offering both Western and local Nepali cuisines.
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a great place to start your exploration, where you will walk(about 10-15 min) through narrow alleyways teeming with small shops, temples, and local restaurants.
If you want to stretch your legs, Swoyambhunath, the white stupa rising above the valley, is the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the valley. You can also take a cab which is approximately about 15 minutes drive from Thamel if you are too tired to walk.
Visit the Garden of dreams, which is a classical historical garden located at Thamel(about 5-10 min walk) with an exquisite ensemble of pavilions, fountains, decorative garden furniture, and beautiful flowers and trees.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (about 7-8 hrs)

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to Pokhara. The first day of our journey begins through drive up to Pokhara, a beautiful lake city. Enjoying the beautiful scenario of greenery hills and villages we’ll reach to Pokhara. Reaching there you have free time on your own.

Day 4: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Ghandruk ( 1940 m/ 4-5 hrs)

Early morning after breakfast in the hotel, we will drive to Nayapul for about 1.5 hrs. Then, our trek starts from Birethati to Ghandruk, a beautiful village of Gurung Community. One can discover the local lifestyle of Gurung community. Overnight in Ghandruk.
 

Day 5: Trek from Ghandruk to Chomrong (2170 m/ 5-6 hrs)

This day our trail leads gradual up to kimringdanda where we can enjoy the great view of mountains like Annapurna South, Himchuli, Fishtail (Macchapuchhre) and Ganggapurna. And we will descend to the Kimrong Khola and Chere Danda then to Chomrong, located on the lap of giant Annapurna massif. Overnight in Chomrong.
 

Day 6: Trek from Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310 m/ 4-5 hrs)

This day the trail descends through stone steps and crosses through Chomrong Khola with suspension bridge then ascends up to Sinuwa. After that we will pass through beautiful forest to kulidhar followed by easy downhill walk to Bamboo. Overnight in Bamboo.
 

Day 7: Trek from Bamboo to Deurali (3230 m/ 3-4 hrs)

This day our trail passes through bamboo forest which is damp and cold, after reaching Himalaya Hotel that the forest opens up and out in sun again with astounding views of the glacial river below. We’ll walk with ascend and descend route, climb up through a much drier forest steeply on zigzag stone path. The most scenic stretch of the day; the vegetation is sparser, allowing magical views of the valley, the river below, and the sheer rock-face cliffs above with bands of wispy waterfalls. Overnight in Deurali.
 

Day 8: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp via Macchapuchre Base Camp (4130 m / 5-6 hrs)

This big day our trail begins through a stream, Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp from where we will have an unbelievable beautiful view of Mt.Machhapuchhre including Mt. Himchuli, Mt.Annapurna, Mt.Annapurna I, Mt.Annapurna III, Mt.Gandharvachuli and Mt.Gangapurna. After reaching Annapurna Base Camp, we will make one of the great memories of lifetime enjoying the splendid and panoramic view of snow capped mountainous peaks. Overnight in Annapurna Base Camp (4130m).
 

Day 9: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310 m/ 6-7 hrs)

This day, we will have a miraculous sunrise view with majestic shining peaks like gold. Then after breakfast we retrace our trail back to Bamboo. We will have feeling of ultimate joy besides the stunning landscape cheers up while retracing our downhill trek. Overnight in Bamboo.
 

Day 10: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (2050 m/ 5-6 hrs)

This day, ascending up to khudighar and downhill to Chhomrong Khola we will reach to Chhomrong with stone steps. Then, our trail leads descend walk to Jhinu Danda. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is just a 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching body. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.
 

Day 11: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Nayapul (5-6 hrs) and then drive to Pokhara (1 -1.5 hour)

This day, enjoying the amazing hills of western Nepal, we end our trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
 

Day 12: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu(25 min). Transfer to Patan

You will be transferred to Pokhara airport one hour before your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be received by one of our representative and transfer to your hotel in Patan. Today you will be staying in beautiful traditional style hotel in Patan- the city of fine arts and architecture.

Day 13: Free day to explore city on your own

Today you have free time to explore beautiful city on your own. Some of the closest places to visit around Patan city are Patan Durbar Square, Patan Museum ,Golden temple, Mahaboudha temple etc.

Similary, depending upon your time availability and interets you can also visit other places like Bungamati and Khokana village  or other heritage sites like Boudhanath, Pashupatinath etc which is 30 min drive and you can easily get taxi to reach there.

Day 14: Transfer to the airport. Departure

Today is your departure day. Himalayan Namobuddha’s representative will drop you to Airport 3 hours before scheduled flight. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. Hopefully we shall meet again.
