Among many festivals celebrated in Nepal, Dashain which is also known as Vijaya Dashami is the most auspicious and longest festival celebrated with great value by all the Nepalese people once a year. Normally this festival lies in the month of  September or October every year.

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal. At your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Himalayan Namo buddha Travel and Treks’ representative will be there to welcome you. You will be taken to Homestay in Kathmandu where get the opportunity to come closer to local lifestyle and culture of Nepalese.  You will be briefed about your activities during your stay in Nepal. In the evening you will be welcomed with a dinner in one of the typical Nepali restaurant with cultural programs. Overnight at Homestay in Kathmandu.
Today is Fulpati – seventh day of Dashain festival . FulPati literally means flowers, leaves and plants.Traditionally, on this day, the royal kailasha, banana stalks, jamara and sugar cane tied with red cloth is brought from Gorkha after a three-day walk, about 169 kilometres away from the Kathmandu Valley and taken to residence of President.
 

Day 2:

Bhaktapur Visit
Today we visit Bhaktapur – one of the important World Heritage Site of Nepal. Bhaktapur is the city of Newars where you can see many historical places like Palace of Fifty-five Windows, the Golden Gate, Nyatapola Temple, Siddhi Laxmi Temple, Vatsala Durga Temple and many more. After the sightseeing in Bhaktapur, you will be taken to homestay where you will be spending today’s night to experience diversity of Nepalese culture.
You can enjoy colorful kites in the sky or even try flying kites on your own too with the members of family, on the roof tops of every house dancing, playing music, poker, drinking liquors etc. In the evening, you will enjoy grand Nepali feast with the Nepali family. Overnight at homestay at Bhaktapur.
Today is Maha Astami – eighth day of Dashain festival. This is the day when the fiercest of Goddess Durga’s manifestations, the blood-thirsty kali, is appeased through the sacrifice of buffaloes, goats, hens and ducks in temples throughout the nation. Also, you will enjoy delicious festival feast included in the package. 
 
 

Day 3:

Visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square
Today, we do sightseeing around Kathmandu city. You will notice many devotees in every temples and heritage sites during the sightseeing due to Dashain festival. Today you will also get opportunity to take around Taleju Temple that is opened only today (once a year).  In the evening, you will be enjoying grand Dashain feast with the family. Overnight at Homestay in Kathmandu.
Today is Mahanavami – ninth day of Dashain festival. This is the last day of Navaratri. Ceremonies and rituals reach the peak on this day. Today, official military ritual sacrifices are held in one of the Hanuman Dhoka royal palaces, the Kot courtyard. Also you will enjoy delicious festival feast included in the package. 
 
 

Day 4:

Celebration of  Vijaya Dashami (Tika day)
Today is the main event of Dashain Festival where we will participate in Tika procession from the elder member of the family. Tika of Dashain festival is the form of blessing from goddess durga and the senior member for happiness and prosperity in life along with Jamara.
Today is Tika – tenth day of Dashain Festival.  This day is celebrated as the  victory of Goddess Durga upon demon Mahishasur. This event of Tika continues for the five days ahead till the full moon i.e. 23 October, 2018 . During this period, families visit to their relatives to exchange greetings and receive Tika from elders. You will get chance to spend day with family and celebrate by playing cards, fly kite, dance and enjoy the delicious Nepali cuisine etc. Overnight at homestay in Kathmandu. Also you will enjoy delicious festival feast included in the package. 
 

Day 5:

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (about 7 hour)
After exciting celebration of Dashain festival with Nepalese family, we will drive to Pokhara- one of the most beautiful city of Nepal . It always worths visiting this city while you are in Nepal where you can enjoy most beautiful natural scenery, close views of mountains and various interesting places. Upon arrival at Pokhara, you will check in the hotel . You can rest for sometime or visit lakeside area on your own.  Overnight at the hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara.
 

Day 6:

Early morning Sarangkot & Pokhara sightseeing
Early morning, you will be taken to Sarangkot for beautiful sunrise view. After breakfast you will proceed for Pokhara sightseeing covering   International Mountain Museum, Devi’s fall and Gupteshwore cave. Overnight at the hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara.
 

Day 7:

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (about 7 hours)
After breakfast we will drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu enjoying beautiful natural view and rivers on the way. Upon reaching there transfer to hotel and relax. Overnight at the hotel / homestay  in Kathmandu.
 

Day 8:

Free Day in Kathmandu
This day you will have free day on your own for some shopping for your friends / family or you can go for some optional tours. In the evening you will be taken for farewell dinner . Overnight at the hotel / homestay in Kathmandu.
 

Day 9:

Departure day
Today is your departure day. Our representative will drop you to Airport 3 hours before scheduled flight. It’s time to bid Nepal farewell visit and appreciate your visit to our country Nepal. Hopefully we shall meet again.
